IMI-Bigpicture, A Digital Pathology Platform for FAIR Data sharing and AI development

Bigpicture is an IMI funded project that has developed a digital pathology repository and services for FAIR data sharing and AI development. Bigpicture has developed a data model, tools, and guides to support data extraction, conversion, and sharing, based on DICOM, ISO, and common ontologies. Bigpicture data collection is organized into 7 clinical nodes, each with a node coordinator and a specific data collection strategy. The skin node focuses on skin cancer cases and observations. I will in this talk present the practical steps from clinical data to the final sharable dataset, based on experiences from the first collected skin dataset.
