Sustainability

Nordic Pathology Meeting 2025 cares about sustainability!

As an organiser, Nordic Pathology Meeting 2025 are working hard when planning the conference to reduce the impact on the environment and climate. However, a conference of this size always affects the environment due to the amount of people participating in the conference e.g. the increased travel, food and waste et cetera. This means that we encourage our partners to act in a sustainable way.

The venue - Elite Hotel Marina Tower Stockholm

Sustainable actions

The meeting works to have a limited impact on the environment through careful consumption of energy and resources. This includes electronically distributed meeting materials and online file sharing. We do not produce unnecessary conference material and products and in that case choose environmentally friendly and socially friendly products. We make active choices to provide healthy and climate-smart food at the meeting. Although a completely sustainable meeting requires more preparation, it is worth the effort, as all measures can contribute to a positive impact on the environment and generate sustainable solutions for reduced climate impact.

These guidelines are provided to attendees, contributors, exhibitors and contractors at the meeting and are intended to educate and inspire continued reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. These guidelines are continually evaluated, as technology and mitigation options continue to change.

Stockholm

Stockholm is one of the cleanest capitals in the world. It is a city close to water and green areas. In the fall of 2023, Stockholm city received a so-called Mission Label as one of ten cities, indicating that the city’s plan for climate positivity has been approved by the EU Commission.

Sustainability Vision

In connection with the meeting, we want to show that the local organization takes responsibility for preserving the environment and strives to implement environmental management based on a good balance between environmental protection and business development.

We will proactively provide information and suggestions to visitors and stakeholders at the conference to contribute to a sustainable society.

We hope and believe that the Nordic Pathology Meeting 2025 will inspire others to focus on sustainability and reduced environmental impact.
